The Outlander also features Lems new sticky rubber outsole that utilizes 4 mm deep lugs and zig-zag grooves to provide ample traction in rain, snow, and mud. As with most Lems, the toe shape is wide and should fit Correct Toes for many people The heel-to-toe drop is 2 mm, and there Is a slight toe spring. The stack height is16 mm, which is pretty sturdy and relatively limiting of proprioception.
The Lems Outlander is one of the more supportive shoes you can find that still allows for a mostly healthy foot posture thanks to its wide toe box. The low drop, moderately thick outsole, and structured nature of the upper make this shoe very accessible for people used to wearing more supportive shoes. However, the Outlander might seem a little stiff and bulky if you’re used to more minimal and flexible shoes.
