Vivobarefoot asana

Men’s Vivobarefoot I Primus Asana | Correct Toes Approved

A superb piece of footwear designed by Vivobarefoot. The Asana is everything you love from Vivobarefoot assembled into sleek and stylish everyday sneaker. The toe shape allows for natural toe splay and should fit Correct Toes for most.

The grippy, active outsole is flat and flexible, which encourages natural foot function—there’s no heel elevation, toe spring, or built-in arch support. The 4 mm stack height provides excellent proprioception potential. The quality of the shoe is remarkable, made with natural breathable thermoregulating knitted uppers and wild hide leather panelling, allowing for total foot freedom all day.

Magna fg

Men’s Vivobarefoot I Magna FG | Correct Toes Approved

Is it a hiking shoe? Is it casual hi-top sneaker? It’s both and everything in between!

Like most Vivobarefoot shoes, the toe box on the Magna is wide enough for a full toe splay and should fit Correct Toes. The sole is completely flat and level, with no heel elevation, toe spring, or arch support. The outsole is about 6.5 mm (2.5 mm base + 4 mm lugs) and comes with a 3 mm removable thermal insole, which allows for great proprioception and mobility. This shoe lets your foot function like a foot.

The Magna’s water-resistant wild hide leather upper combines with an elastic merino wool collar for natural breathability and sweat-wicking properties. The thicker trail outsole also makes this shoe more approachable as a transition shoe for people used to support and cushion, yet also works well for those who spend more time barefoot.

primus lite III

Vivobarefoot | Primus Lite III | Correct Toes Approved

The Primus Lite is one of the first shoes produced by Vivobarefoot and is now in its 3rd iteration. The toe box is shaped like a healthy foot, providing ample room for a wide toe splay, and comfortably fitting Correct Toes for most. Like all Vivos, the Primus Lite III is completely flat, without even a hint of toe spring or heel elevation. This shoe is very flexible in all directions and the 4 mm stack height outsole allows for excellent proprioception potential.

The Primus Lite is a relatively low volume shoe and while the upper is certainly flexible, it’s not very elastic. So thicker feet that have more subcutaneous fat and more volume may find this shoe to feel too small, even if the length and width are appropriate. Loosening the laces or removing the insole can help create more volume within the shoe to help accommodate for this.

The Primus Lite III shines best as a multi-purpose athletic sneaker. This shoe performs well in the gym, while walking and running, and even for causal wear. The Primus Lite definitely provides the
foot with one of the most barefoot-like experiences a shoe can offer—every step taken in one is an excellent opportunity to strengthen and train your feet.

Vivobarefoot | Primus Trail II All Weather | Correct Toes Approved

Vivobarefoot | Primus Trail II All Weather | Correct Toes Approved

If you love the Primus Lite, but want something a bit more rugged, look no further than the Primus Trail II All Weather. The foot-shaped last includes a wide toe box, good for natural toe splay, balance and effective propulsion. Correct Toes should fit comfortably for most people. This shoe is completely flat, with no heel elevation or toe spring. The flexible outsole lets you really feel the ground so your feet can adjust to the varying surfaces. The 6.5 mm stack height (4 mm outsole + 2.5 mm lugs) has fantastically blends proprioception and stability while providing excellent grip.

The ultra-lightweight Primus Trail II All Weather is a vegan shoe made using a recycled all-weather mesh textile with hi-tech seal. This versatile trail runner performs well in virtually all conditions and keeps your feet mostly dry. In really wet conditions and after extended use, the water resistance can start to wear. If you need a more reliably waterproof shoe you might like something more like the Magna Trail. Overall one of the best options to for trail running in the natural foot health realm.

Lems | Primal 2 | Correct Toes Approved

Lems | Primal 2 | Correct Toes Approved

A shoe once thought of as a trailblazer is now viewed as an OG, a respected elder, and a pillar of natural, healthy footwear. The Primal 2 is built on Lems widest last—2E width in the toe box paired with traditional D width midfoot and heel. The foot-shaped toe box has ample room for toe splay and should accommodate Correct Toes for most. The zero-drop footbed is mostly flat, save for a slight (yet flexible) toe spring, which typically flattens more with use.

The lightweight Primal 2 is very flexible and it’s vegan upper is made from super-soft microfiber with a moisture-wicking lining. The 9 mm stack height air-injection rubber outsole provides great
proprioception potential, which improves balance by allowing the feet to better feel the ground. The Primal 2 can be a great shoe for many to start their transition towards more natural and barefoot-like footwear, but it’s also a great shoe long term.
